Knockdowns

In paintless dent repair (PDR), knockdowns are essential tools used to refine the surface after initial dent removal. Once the bulk of a dent is lifted, small high spots or uneven areas can remain, and this is where knockdowns come in. These tools, typically made of plastic or metal, are used in conjunction with a hammer or tap-down tool to gently tap down raised sections, smoothing the surface to its original contour without damaging the paint. Proper use of knockdowns allows technicians to perfect the repair, ensuring a seamless finish that restores the vehicle’s appearance.
